Our Environmental Initiatives
Through various programs and partnerships, we’re working to create a greener,
more sustainable future for Kwale County.
We empower young people and communities to create a greener, more resilient future through meaningful environmental action.
Green Minds Youth Initiative was founded by Alice Loiton from a shared passion for environmental conservation and youth empowerment in Kwale County. It began as a small community group in Waa Location and grew into a recognized youth-led organization working in schools and communities across Kwale County.

We train students and teachers in primary and secondary schools across Kwale on environmental conservation through hands-on learning and sustainable school gardens.
We organize interactive climate debate sessions in Kombani, empowering youth to discuss environmental policies, voice solutions, and advocate for sustainable climate action.
Green Minds Youth Initiative has established sustainable heliculture training in Kombani to enhance local food security and generate alternative income streams for families.
Green Minds Youth Initiative relies on community power, local partnerships, and resource support to drive lasting environmental change across Kwale County.
We are proud to share stories and personal experiences from the volunteers and partners working alongside us to build a greener future for Kwale.
