Sustainable Farming Program

Promoting climate-resilient agriculture and agroforestry for improved livelihoods

Program Overview

Our Sustainable Farming program trains local farmers in climate-smart agricultural techniques, organic farming, and agroforestry practices. We’re helping farmers adapt to climate change while improving food security and protecting the environment.

We are designed to address the growing challenges of climate volatility, unpredictable rainfall, and soil degradation in Kwale County, this initiative equips rural farming communities with practical, long-term tools for self-reliance. By combining hands-on technical training with continuous field support, we empower local smallholders to transition from traditional, vulnerable farming methods to high-yield, ecologically balanced systems. The program focuses on enhancing household food security, creating secondary income streams through value-added crops and fruit production, and restoring natural soil fertility. Through active involvement of local youth and women’s self-help groups, we are building a network of community climate champions who ensure these sustainable practices endure for generations to come.
